Madison property companies, including Madison Square Garden, have been buying up property in New York

The Madison Square Gambling and Liquor Corporation has acquired several property in the borough, including an office building and apartment complex, as it continues its takeover of Manhattan property.

According to the Madison Square deal, the Madison Group will acquire the Madison Street Group office building at 932 East 52nd Street and the Madison Plaza at 809 East 52d Street, and the apartment complex at 914 East 52st Street.

The Madison Group has also purchased two properties in Brooklyn, the Plaza at 590 East 59th Street and an apartment complex on East 59st Street at the site of the former Central Park Hotel, according to the Times.

The deal is expected to close by the end of this year.
