Bid for new NFL stadium could be a boon for local economies

If the $1.2 trillion bid for a new NFL football stadium is successful, cities around the country could benefit, a new report suggests.

The NFL is in the midst of a bidding process for a temporary home in Los Angeles that would be the home of the NFL Los Angeles Rams, the team’s home.

While the team is in Los Diego, its owners have expressed interest in a new stadium in San Diego, according to The Associated Press.

But those cities are vying to host the new stadium, which would be constructed on the site of the former Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

With that stadium already under construction, the AP reported, bidding for a permanent stadium in the city of Houston could increase.
